The internet has been turned into a frenzy over the touching story of the 94-year-old grandmother, Alhaja Aishiat Abike Onikoyi.
Aishiat was born with sickle cell but has aganist all odds survived the worst possible life shortening disease.
Alhaja Onikoyi who is a mother of four tell her inspiring story in a recent interview. Having lived from a time when Sickle cell anaemia was Unknown to the Nigeria society, the nature of her constant sickness was attributed to being an Abiku, meaning “born to die”.
The nonagenarian revealed that living has a SS patient was not do difficult as she had loving parents who were ready to give their all for her survive. Unfortunately her dad died, she was left with her widowed mum who pushed her to get quality education.
However it wasn’t all rainbows and roses for the mother of four, she had her fair share “hard life” Wich she revealed, speaking on life as a constant hospital patient, she said.
